Where does the data come from?+
Directly from NYC Open Data โ the same database the city's own HPD Online and DOB BIS sites query. We don't store violations; every search is live so you get the freshest data available.
Is it really free?+
A free account opens 5 full building reports and monitors up to 5 buildings with the 8 AM report, garbage-night reminders and violation alerts. Reopening a building you've already seen is free, and buildings on your dashboard never count. After that, unlimited reports are $9.99/month and each extra monitored building is $10/month.
What's in the 8 AM email?+
Every morning at 8 AM, 7 days a week: anything new since yesterday from HPD, DOB/ECB, OATH (including DSNY tickets), tenant complaints and 311, anything resolved, what's still open, plus that day's garbage pickup and alternate side parking reminders. NYC usually publishes new records within a day or two. Prefer quiet? Switch to emails only when something changes.
Who uses this?+
NYC landlords tracking compliance on their portfolios, prospective buyers doing due diligence, tenants checking their building's record, and inspectors verifying past notices.
